North studio practice

Original canvases built without intermediary

Most pieces begin with oil, raw linen, and an unhurried afternoon in the north studio, grounded in direct artist-to-collector provenance.

Material foundation

Sizing raw linen and historic pigments

European flax linen is stretched over kiln-dried tulipwood bars, sized with rabbit-skin glue, and primed by hand to receive slow layers of oil paint.

The editions are pulled by hand on 310gsm cotton rag, numbered, and signed on the reverse with complete documentation of materials used.

Studio philosophy

Paint chemistry responds to architectural light over decades, settling quietly into the room.
